Walid Al Damirji founded his unique accessory line in 2005, developing a cult following for his antique passementerie, luxury textile and embellished pieces. A lifelong love for all things historical surrounding fashion, interiors and art, combined with a natural desire to travel, has shaped an individual of interesting influences, knowledge and eclectic creativity. Walid comes from a cosmopolitan background; having lived in Beirut, Paris, Geneva and New York, he draws upon these references from his London base.
His love of fashion led him to become a buyer, creative director and consultant in the 1990s for fashion luminaries as diverse as Joseph, Shirin Guild, Roland Mouret, and Harvey Nichols.
In recent years, Walid has channeled his passion for antiques into his coveted By Walid line of accessories, which incorporate the ornament of 18th century design, textile and beading. A perfect fit for CoutureLab, Walid’s revived vintage accessories are one of kinds.
