2001 After 15 years in banking, Marcelo Lucini decides to take time out to travel around his homeland of Argentina.
2002 Discovering the natural materials and craftsmanship skills of the country’s native people, he is inspired to design his first homeware collection.
2004 Opens a boutique in Buenos Aires and his sleek designs are quickly picked up by regional and then international press.
2008 Becomes well known for his sense of style, which leads to his apartment being featured in Taschen’s coffee table book, "Buenos Aires Style.
2009 Featured in the September issue of Australian Vogue.
Regu ar trips around Argentina to source natural materials such as alpaca silver, show Lucini’s passion for promoting Argentina’s heritage.

A modern man true to his nature


Having studied business and spent 15 years in banking, Marcelo Lucini decided to make a career change. He embarked on a journey through Argentina and began designing a collection of homeware which resonates throughout the current spheres of fashion and interiors, while utilizing the skills of the country’s people and natural resources.

These products juxtapose sleek shine and glamour against organic natural bone and cattle pelts. Alpaca, the metal alloy used throughout this home collection, has a beautiful lustrous finish and is surprisingly more robust than silver. All organic materials such as bone and horn have been naturally shed and gathered.

The collection at CoutureLab is designed for modern living while being entirely handmade, possessing a rawness and a sense of cultural heritage.
