Designer Profile
Maria Busquets Giuliani
Venezuelan born children's clothes designer, Maria Busquets, began her career as a banker for Merrill Lynch. However, things soon changed when her first daughter, Sofia, was born. Maria began to acquire an overflowing amount of baby clothes. By the time her other beautiful daughter, Monica came along, Maria had become well acquainted with the color, design, typical motifs and fabrics available from limited ranges of baby wear. The vision of pure cashmere apparel for babies and children instigated a new design passion and a new career beckoned. In the year 2000, the pure cashmere baby brand, Cashmirino, was launched.
Up until the end of the 19th century, only royalty could afford to indulge in the pleasures of cashmere. Today, it is accessible to us all, although the level of quality greatly varies. The stylish and ecological brand, Cashmirino is made out of the natural fibers of top quality cashmere and cotton, the most gentle against soft, baby skin.
Maria's own children have been a great inspiration to her. Her Cashmirino pieces are sportive yet delicate and relaxed.
This wonderful collection for CoutureLab reflects the notion that colors are the expression of happiness, warmth and energy.
