From diamond encrusted frog earrings to a stunning pink jasper rose and jeweled monkey bracelet, Lydia Courteille has a talent for transforming aspects of nature into exquisite works of art. She explains: “nature is extremely inspiring because it has graphical elements which are endless to play with - ravishing colors, velvety textures and materials of varying tones; in the plant world as in the animal kingdom, these elements are infinite.”
-

“My approach to transforming these aspects into jewelry is to try and marry the wonders of Mother Nature’s creativity with the creativity of mankind to produce unique adornments. I try to transpose directly nature’s reality into a voluptuous fantasy.”
Courteille’s creations showcase remarkable handcraft skill but her biggest challenge, she explains, is: “for people to understand my sweet folly and to have clients that are confident and audacious enough to want to express their individual beauty, personality and grace through my jewelry, which can be both delicate or outlandish.”
