Specializing in print design,
Mary Katrantzou is making a name for herself with an enterprising take on bold and graphic prints. Having cut her teeth at Central Saint Martin’s before working with Sophia Kokosalaki, Katrantzou was awarded Best Graduate at the London Fashion Awards for her acclaimed inaugural color
block collection.
Inspired by Russian Constructivism and the early 1970s, Katrantzou’s three-dimensional designs create the illusion of wearing large, heavy neckpieces. In addition, she has also developed a range of pieces constructed from wood and metal that mirror her printed designs. Turning digital printing into an art form, Katrantzou transforms the impractical into wearable art.
- Todd Lynn is recognized as one of London’s most exciting designers and is often referred to as the future of modern tailoring. With a resume including a seven year stint at Roland Mouret, as well as bespoke tailor to music legends Mick Jagger and Bono, Lynn’s reputation as a master of exquisite cuts is well-founded.
His meticulous attention to detail is illustrated by his couture-worthy Harpy dress from the Devour the Divine collection – a sumptuous sculptural feathered image deserving of its own gallery space. With 160 handcraft hours involved in constructing a piece of such calibre, this is not simply fashion; it’s a remarkable example of wearable art.
