The wood acquired for Gamperl's sculptures are from fallen trees that could no longer stand against natural conditions. The cherry wood has been lathe-turned into a delicate cylindrical sculpture, its fissures joined with dove tail inserts and treated with a lime wash. The grooved surface of this 100 year old cherry wood trunk has been painstakingly carved with precise laser techniques creating the appearance of a pulsating rhythm, following the organic life lines and bulges of the wood.

The inscription, 266/06//100, on the base of the sculpture is significant to its story; work number and the age of the tree respectively. This combined age represents the new constant energy of its newly given life.
