Fali are an indigenous tribe living in the mountains of North Cameroon. These dolls are traditionally created for the fiancée of the betrothed young Fali man. The doll symbolizes their marriage and future child. The wood carving is swathed in yellow glass seed beads with leather strung patterned cowrie shells.

Each doll is a one-off unique piece created entirely by hand.
