Fali are an indigenous tribe living in the mountains of North Cameroon. These dolls are traditionally created for the fiancée of the betrothed young Fali man. Swathed in colorful glass beads, the doll symbolizes their marriage and future child. The iron scythes, attached to the leather belt, are symbolic artifacts indicating a fruitful and prosperous crop.
Each doll is a one-off unique piece created entirely by hand.
