"Iris" Necklace
BeaValdes for CoutureLab
Agate and bead necklace
For Bea Valdes, each piece is an exploration and the material her muse – the sway of glass drops, the sheen and shine of metals, ribbon's sensual embrace. Hand-made in the designer's native Philippines, these painstakingly conceived and executed compositions stand testament to her philosophy of “Just one bead at a time”.
Named after Iris, the ancient Greek's messenger of the gods, this necklace projects a divine charisma. Tiered discs of orange and gray agate are ringed with globular and tubular beads to form seven opalescent clusters, diminishing in size from the centre outwards. Joined to each end of this assembly, blackened metal links close the circle; faceted conical crystals provide sparkling accents. Use the extender section to adjust the necklace's length, then secure with the lobster-claw clasp.
All elements are finished with padded backs for a comfortable fit; flexible construction contours the design closely to your body. Piece is supplied in a sumptuous faux-lizard skin presentation box with silky fabric lining and Bea Valdes brass nameplate.
