This adorable denim teddy bear has been hand-embroidered by women artisans working in deprived, HIV-struck areas of Africa. These craftswomen are part of The "Forward" Group, an artistic community which spans across regions such as Zimbabwe, Zambia and the Congo. The Forward Group involves more than 60 artisans, who are now able to generate an income and gain confidence in moving ahead with their lives. Each one unique, the bears feature cotton thread embroidery and patchwork appliqué, depicting happy scenes in bright colors. Each one of these teddies is a one-off collectable piece.
