Dark oak wood has been lathe-turned into this delicate cylindrical sculpture. The oak is treated with a lime wash and its fissures are joined with dove tail inserts. The grooved surface of this 100 years old oak trunk has been painstakingly carved with precise laser techniques creating the appearance of a pulsating rhythm, following the organic life lines of the wood. The sculpture has a rich oak scent.
The inscription, 168/2007//100, on the base of the sculpture states the work number, the year it was made and the age of the tree respectively. This combined age represents the new constant energy of its newly given life.
