Fali are an indigenous tribe living in the mountains of North Cameroon. These dolls are traditionally created for the fiancée of the betrothed young Fali man. Swathed in colorful glass beads, the carved wooden doll symbolizes their marriage and future child. This unusual piece has a long beaded train and rests on a tall iron stand.
