The beautiful picturesque scene of this Spanish garden fan has been hand-carved from elm wood and hand-painted with intricacy. The painted flowers and birds continue onto the gilded silk pleats. Hanging from the painted wooden guards is an ornamental gold chain, adorned with gold set enamel birds and hand-carved coral, turquoise and white agate roses, finished with a black silk tassel.
